Keep Track of your Online Conversations and Comments

Posted by Siddharth Agarwal on Friday, May 25, 2007

What do you do when you actively participate or follow multiple online conversations on forums, blogs, etc? It is very difficult to keep track of them especially when they are related to different issues. Confusions may arise if you send a wrong message to a wrong forum or conversation. For example, while discussing the Sony PlayStation 3, you may send a post about Apple iPhone or about Microsoft Xbox 360 which you wanted to send to a different forum. Such slips though not intended may cause perplexity in other people's mind and the might not understand what you wanted to convey.

coComment is an online utility that keeps track of all the online conversations you are participating or following in one convenient place, and informs you whenever something is added to a conversation. The process and interface is very similar to that of email. All comments made by you are stored in neat format and any additions or follow-ups to them are tracked and displayed. You need to register for free to use this service. Once registered, a copy of all your online conversations and comments will be sent to coComment apart from being submitted to the site itself. These will be available under the 'My Conversations' Page in your account. You can now view and follow your comments and conversations from one place without having to go to different sites. Thus you can manage all your online conversations better from one place.

coComment also allows you to share your conversations and comments with others by letting you publish them in a blog or sending them to your friends. This is purely voluntary and you can choose not to do so if your conversation is private. You can also check out conversations and comments of other commenters and find out who is commenting on same conversations as you. Your comments and conversations can also be published on your blog. To publish the comments on your blog, follow a few simple steps, different for different blog portals, as mentioned on coComment. Once integrated, all your comments and conversations will be published on your blog. However, you don't need to be a blogger to use this service. coComment is a very convenient tool to avoid confusions and fragmentation in your online conversations.
