Netizens subscribe to several feeds related to the subject of their interest. We may use a feed aggregator service or read feeds in a web feed reader software. Since various feeds are obtained from different sources, it is likely that they have repeated and redundant data. We need a service that can remove this superfluous data helping us save time in reading it.

Yahoo! Pipes is the latest service from Yahoo! meant for mixing different web feeds. Yahoo! Pipes is an interactive feed aggregator and manipulator. Using Pipes, you can create feeds that are more powerful, useful and relevant by easily combining several diverse web feeds in real time. Feeds from search engines can also be added along with other types of feeds.

As always, Yahoo! services require you to sign up with Yahoo! and this one is no different. Just login with your Yahoo! ID and create a new pipe in which you can add the feeds of your choice. Yahoo! sorts the feed for news stories based on various criterions and removes the duplicate ones. You can read this pipe in same way as you read other feeds.

Other than just creating and reading your pipes, you can browse pipes created by other users or publish your pipe. In this way, you can share your pipe with others and/or read their pipes.
