There are scores of free web hosting services on the net. Some are specialized for blogging while others are meant to host small sites. Dot.tk, a joint venture of the Government of Tokelau, the country's communication company Teletok and Taloha, Inc., provides absolutely free domain names with .tk extension. There is an option for paid service too but the free service is not bad either.

The registration process is very simple and the domain name is set up in less than 15 minutes. Just enter the desired domain name and click next. If the domain name is not available, you can either do a WHOIS lookup or enter another domain name. After choosing an available domain name, you will be asked for a valid e-mail address and a valid URL of your website. This URL can be changed later by logging into your account. A confirmation email will be sent with an activation link. The domain name is set up only after confirmation by clicking on the link.

This domain name does not include any web-hosting. What actually happens is that your website (the URL you provided) opens up on logging on to the free domain name. This means that you will actually browse another website but use the new domain name. This, in no form, modifies or display any modified data or webpage, just pure truth and a free domain name.
