Tired of breaking downloads? Although there are a large number of download managers around but there are certain sites that do not support resume. Downloads from such sites can be a pain in the neck because if a download breaks, you have to start over again. The smaller the file, lesser are the chances that its download will break. Krunch is a free online service that allows you to compress files online so that you can download them without the fear of breaking downloads. It does not impose restrictions on file types that are compressed and can compress files in zip, rar or tar.gz format which can be uncompressed easily at the user's end. You can compress upto 10 files into 1 archive and each file being compressed can be of a maximum size of 10 MB. The compressed files can be downloaded instantly or can be sent via mail as a link or an attachment.
Another feature of Krunch allows you to compress files from your PC. You can upload upto 10 files and compress them online as long as they are not larger than 10 MB. In addition to this, you can upload a compressed file from your PC or fetch one from the internet and uncompress it online.
Krunch isn't a replacement for the traditional desktop compression tools, but its just a tool that makes things easier by cutting down all the compressing hassles. It can prove to be of extreme help when one needs to download a huge file on a narrowband or compress/uncompress files without a software at hand.
