Google Code Search comes to our rescue here. Google Code Search, still in its development stage, is the best tool available for finding public source code.

It works exactly like the google search but returns results with public source codes. Like google search, all you need to do is enter the name of the software you are looking for and press enter. You can also perform an advanced code search if you exactly know what you are looking for. The syntax and examples for the search string are also available for reference.
